Lovely cosy pub/restaurant with log fireplaces. High end food. Dog friendly if you let them know in advance and they found us a spot in the restaurant rather than the bar area. Our dogs are very well behaved. The desserts were delicious as well, alas my phone battery had run out. Looking forward to coming back on warmer days
Portions for price was completly unbalanced! I had braised ox with tiny swipe of cauliflower puree, a single carrot and a single Turnip cut in half, no sauce and no potato for 25.50! Complete rip off! Had three courses and left feeling hungry. Starter and dessert were also tiny and expensive! Quail leg I had was still raw. Will not be returning!
Cosy gastropub, quite expensive for what it was, perhaps its just the area. Be warned, order sides as portions are small with no carbohydrate on them. Very tasty though.
Nice meal in a private dinning area. Good local food and good service.
This used to be a great place. Normally had great food and amazing service. However, stopped by for a drink in the garden and was turned away by the manager. There was plenty of space in there the garden so hard to understand the reason. We used to stop by both for tasting menu, quick lunch and a drink. Clearly, current management do not want return customers. Mission accomplished - We wont!
